Happy Birthday Alice Walker!

9 Feb

Who else could today’s post be about other than the wonderful Alice Walker?

Because I’m going to start rapidly running out of time to devote to these posts, I’m going to have to, unfortunately, shorten them up a bit. Basically, I’ll have to link you to some biography places rather than relay it here so no biggie.

However, that does not mean I won’t do my best to link you to all sorts of interesting places that talk about Ms. Walker.

First stop is definitely her web site, which is also linked above. You can find out more about her books and poems, read her blog, check out some photos and videos.

Charlie Rose has interviewed several times over the years and has provided those interviews on his site.

The Gale web site offers up a fantastic biography including some discussion on the themes and topics Walker tackles in her works.

A fantastic fan site provides not only a biographical timeline but also Walker’s historical firsts.

There are videos a-plenty of Walker speaking, reciting, and being interviewed.

Have any Walker-related sites you enjoy? What’s your favorite Walker work?
